Cooper is as quiet and sensible ridden daily as he is if he hasn't been out for months. I looked for 7 months to find a horse I was willing to put my totally inexperienced husband on for trail rides - and a horse that my 6 year old son could ride double bareback and eventually ride by himself. We've had 4 1/2 wonderful years of trail rides all over Colorado - he crosses streams, goes over bridges, handles barking-charging dogs without changing his step, deer jumping from scrub oak - you name it! I've had dozens of friends kids over to ride him, paint him, we've ponied him, taken him to show and tell at school, ridden double bareback and taken him through the suburbs of Greeley to visit my 90 year old grandparent in laws.
He is sadly for sale as a result of my new dressage horse having colic surgery and 11 days in ICU and I just need to scale back. He is UTD on all shots, farrier, etc. He stands like a rock for the vet, farrier - is so easy to load in a trailer I let my 11 year old son do it! Cooper has brought us countless precious memories, and I look forward to talking to you to see if he is the right fit for your family.
You may find less expensive "family horses" advertised, but few of them will be as well-exposed, well trained and have as quiet a disposition as Cooper. As a rider and competitor and professional videographer who videos and edits sale productions on dozens of $15,000 - $150,000 horses each year, Cooper is so valuable to have in your barn, as you can put anyone on him!
